It's been pretty rough in the world these past few months. There are no two ways about it. It has been difficult, frustrating, and often time tragic. This was the time to band together for the good of our fellow humans.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that we’ve all been neck-deep in a worldwide health crisis due to Covid-19. As a result of this once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, hundreds of thousands of people have died and millions have been infected. The economy has collapsed as non-essential businesses have been forced to close. Unemployment has skyrocketed to unfathomable heights. There has been widespread panic-buying at grocery stores for certain items. Companies have floundered and some even closed. Our lives have changed—at least for now. It’s in these challenging times that we need to come together for the greater good and the betterment of our communities.
Community has been one of Animal’s cornerstones from the very beginning—the idea that we are one of you and you are one of us. Although we have been fortunate to be operational through these last couple of weeks, that has not been the case for many businesses. It would have been easy to keep our heads down and carry on, but we could not stand by and watch others struggle. We needed to help our fellow man, and that is what we did.
Our first priority was to give back to frontline heroes: nurses, doctors, law enforcement, hospital employees, and the countless others that leave their homes every day and risk their lives trying to battle this invisible enemy. While we could not help with personal protective equipment (PPE), we could help with health and nutrition. With that in mind, we created Animal Immune Pak to bolster the immune system and provide antioxidants. Animal Immune Pak is an all-in-one pack loaded with key ingredients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Astragalus designed to fortify from the inside out.
We ran two Instagram giveaways where we sent thousands of free Immune Pak to those who needed it the most. This was our way of helping the heroes who were helping us. There is nothing more heroic—or more Animal—than putting yourself at risk to help others. We are acknowledging those who are helping us stay safe through our Heroes page. These are the brave folks lighting up dark times. Their faces should be held high for all to see.
We also recognize that food banks are having trouble keeping up with the daily lines of families trying to eat. No one should go hungry in 2020, but the reality for many currently unemployed folks is that government assistance is coming too slowly. How could we help? What could we do? As a long-time New Brunswick, NJ-based company, we felt it was only right for us to reach out and help our home’s community. Last week on Friday May 15, Animal donated and delivered 5000 of the brand new Boss Protein Bars to three food pantries in the New Brunswick, NJ area to be distributed by volunteers. These pantries were:

If you’re local and interested in assisting these great organizations, don’t hesitate to contact them via the website link. Anything you can do would help.
In addition to donating food, there are other ways you can give back. We encourage you to get involved with your immediate community—your neighborhood, your town, or county. Contact your city/town municipal offices. Try your county Chamber of Commerce. Call the non-emergency line of your police precinct. Find out what needs to be done and how you can get on board. Every situation and location is different but there is much work to be done. With your help and the resiliency of our great nation, there is no doubt that brighter days are coming. Stay positive. Stay strong. Stay safe.
