Life Motivation

Don’t let anything stand between you and your goals. Know what you want and go after it. When you look around and see people achieving great things and you wonder why that person isn’t you, the only thing standing between you and what you want to accomplish is your belief and willingness to go after it. People who achieve what they set out to accomplish know who they are—they know what they want and they go after it. Will there be tough obstacles that get in the way of accomplishing your goals? Absolutely. You will be required to go through difficult challenges before you achieve greatness. Accomplishing a goal is less about accomplishing a task than it is about the person you become as you make the journey to achieve your goal.

There are winners and there are those who wish they were winners. Winning doesn’t happen overnight or in a moment. Winning happens by daily sacrifice, discipline, consistent determination, and a sickening work ethic. Winners are not people who get lucky and fall into success. Winners are people who raise the bar and will not stop until they see their goals accomplished. Not being a winner or not accomplishing your goals does not make you a loser. Being a loser makes you a loser. Someone who quits, gives up, has no drive, and would rather take the easy way out is a loser. When you are persistent and keep pushing toward your goals, you will eventually find a way to make your dream a reality.

Failing is an opportunity. Learning what not to do can be of great value. As long as you keep moving forward, all the failures will lead you to success. The person that you become by constantly breaking through mental and physical barriers will bring out the winner in you. Let the so-called failures in your life shape you and mold you as an opportunity to grow stronger mentally and physically.

How do you start feeling like you’re a winner when all you feel is the opposite? We all feel down about ourselves at times. Even the most successful and positive people have negative feelings. The best way to start feeling positive about your life is focusing on the minor wins, the small victories. Let’s say you don’t have a major goal right now, that’s ok for now, but eventually we want to have a bigger goal. For now, focus on what you currently do on a day to day basis. Do you work or volunteer in your community? Maybe you do have a job and you do go to the gym regularly. If so, go a full week without calling in and give more than required every day at work. At the end of the week, you can be satisfied in knowing you gave your job your very best. As the days and weeks add up, not only will you build the confidence in yourself knowing you are working at your full potential, but the chances of a raise or a promotion are exponentially greater. The services you provide to your community through your work or volunteering is making someone else’s life better. Making a difference in the lives of others is the greatest satisfaction that money can’t buy.

The gym is another area that has potential for making a positive change in your life. Do you go to the gym regularly? Maybe you currently lack a specific fitness goal, but you attend the gym a couple times a week. Lock down and challenge yourself to stick to a plan to become stronger, leaner, build muscle, get more conditioned, or simply be healthier. Don’t deviate from your plan. After the first week, look back and know that you accomplished everything you set out to do that week. You didn’t miss a day, didn’t miss a meal, and didn’t miss a set during the entire week. Focusing on the positive accomplishments on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis is a great start to a life of winning.
